About Me
I consider myself an amateur birder with a passion for bird photography. I moved from Norway to South Africa in September 2007. I have been a fly fisher most of my life. When I came to South Africa, I discovered that the fly fishing there was not what I was looking for. The birds coming to my feeder in the garden in Johannesburg were fantastic. A birding friend from Norway visited me in Johannesburg and took me birding for the first time on November 17th 2007. After he left, I had a hard time identifying all the birds I saw. I thought that a bird will fly away, but a picture will never fly away. I moved to Cape Town on June 1st. 2009. Since then I have travelled extensively in Southern Africa. I moved back to Norway end of May 2012 and my wife and I are moving to Tanzania end of November 2018.
